Description The Left Field Baseplate core for DSMC2 provides a low profile quick release base and mounting points to add front and rear 15mm LWS mounts. The baseplate has an ARRI standard dovetail clamp which can be used with the Left Field ARRI Dovetail Plate or ARRI standard Dovetail (300mm) to provide a quick release for the camera to go from tripod to shoulder mount or gimbal setups. The sliding base also allows for fine adjustment to provide optimal balance for the camera operator. It is also compatible with any other third party ARRI standard dovetail. Multiple 1/4″-20 threads are found along the side of the baseplate for attaching other accessories. 15mm LWS mounts can be added to either the front or back for rod support, with a secure interlocking join between the two components, which mount securely with two screws. Compatible with any DSMC2 camera, the baseplate mounts securely using the two included 3/8″ screws using a 2mm flathead screwdriver. The baseplate also features mounting points for sideplates to create a complete cage solution together with the Left Field top plates. Designed to last, the baseplate is machined from a single block of aluminium to handle the most extreme environments. RED and DSMC2 are trademarks or registered? trademarks of RED LLC.
