Description PETG Carbon Fibre Filament Material Properties Density 1.3 g/cm³ Charpy impact Strength 3.91 KJ/m2 Tensile Strength 51 MPa Glass temperature tg 75° Superior Chemical Resistance vs. ABS Amorphous: Low and near isotropic, for minimal shrinkage Low moisture absorption: 3X lower vs. ABS Low odor emitted during printing Wide processing range: 220 – 260°C Chemical Resistance: Unstressed tensile bars molded of PETG exhibit good resistance to dilute aqueous solutions of mineral acids, bases, salts, and soaps, and to aliphatic hydrocarbons, alcohols, and a variety of oils. Halogenated hydrocarbons, short chain length ketones, and aromatic hydrocarbons dissolve or swell the plastic. Recommended Printing parameters: Extruder: Ideally 230 to 260°C Platform Temp: 70 to 90°C Platform Prep: PEI sheet recommended, PVA-based glue useful, or some Hairspray. Avoid printing directly on Glass. Nozzle: We recommend 0.6mm hardened nozzles, however 0.4 mm can be used for smaller parts. Layer Height: Ideal layer height is 60% of nozzle diameter. We do not recommend printing layers below 0.2mm with CF Grades. Carbon fiber filament is more abrasive than unfilled materials, so brass nozzles will wear faster. Stainless recommended, ideally use our hardened martensitic steel nozzles for more reliable performance. Drying Instructions: Please dry in an oven at 50C for 6 hrs before first use, & for any time you print again after extensive storage.
